30 + inches of snow last week – the trails are open and groomed! Rt 7 N & S, all the forest trails, Moses Pond to Weston to the Orton fields, Andover Mountain, and the trail to Brandmeyer’s have all been opened & groomed. We will be grooming the rest of the week, also. Call Lisa with any questions -802-824-5851. Enjoy the riding!
The trails on the Forest Service lands are no longer closed. The riding on route 7, Beaver Meadow up to 155 is OK. Greendale Road to Rt 7 is not good, and there are still icy patches because of the lack of accumulated snow. Please ride carefully. We are still not grooming the trails until we receive more snow. Any questions, please call Lisa at 802-824-5851.
The Recreation & Trails Coordinator for the Soutern Half of the Forest has forwarded a communication to the local clubs that the Forest service lands are closed for the time being. We are asking all our snowmobile/cross-country ski friends to adhere to the trail closures. The conditions are poor and unsafe. Let’s all hope for a big hit of snow in the near future! Thank you -
A few riders rode the area trails. Route 7 and Beaver Meadow to Jenny Coolidge is open, but rough riding. The Greendale loop to route 7 is not passable. We will not be grooming yet because of the lack of snow on the trails. Please watch the website for updates, or call Lisa @ 802-824-5851.
1/18/10 – Last night brought us 4″ of new snow! The groomers will be out today & tonight on our trails. Enjoy the riding!
1/03/2010 – Happy New Year! We’ve accumulated at least 14″ of snow this weekend, and it’s still coming down! The trails have gotten a great boost. We groomed last week, and we’ll be out there this week setting up for some great riding!
